Doubling Down on Workforce Development Initiatives at RAPID+TCT

Jennifer Coyne is the Director of Programs at The Barnes Global Advisors (TBGA) where she combines her love of data and processes with a passion to drive the adoption of new technologies. She is a driving force within TBGA and her dedication to AM, the team, and maximizing efficiency has been a tremendous benefit to customers and the organization.

She came to TBGA in 2021 after leading the additive manufacturing division of GE Transportation (now Wabtec Corporation) where she successfully led the launch of over 50 unique production additive parts and opened four global labs in the U.S. and India with a wide range of metals and polymers 3D printing capabilities. Prior to her start in additive manufacturing, Jennifer led a company-wide Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) launch and held several roles in Systems Engineering specializing in Locomotive Traction, Propulsion Systems, and Energy Storage Reliability. As a graduate of GE’s Edison Engineering Development Program, she tackled intense technical training and business-critical assignments that propelled her into an exciting hands-on career pushing the boundaries of technology adoption in heavy manufacturing.

Currently, Jen serves on the SME Additive Manufacturing Technical Community Leadership Committee, where she works with a prestigious group of AM industry leaders to guide SME and serve the industry through career panels, facilitating industry awards, and serving as a face to the industry.

As a mother of four and a seasoned leader in the industry, Jen is passionate about mentoring students and giving back to the community through volunteering opportunities. Find her next week at RAPID+TCT in Chicago, Illinois as Jen will be doubling down on two workforce development initiatives. Through the Career Forum Luncheon, Jen will provide guidance to students and emerging professionals on additive manufacturing career paths and opportunities, including areas such as how to search for a job, career management, and more. Additionally, Jen will be moderating the Career Forum Panel: Unsung Heroes in AM with panelists Fadi Abro, MBA, Global Director, Transportation of Stratasys, Shawn Hopwood, Chief Marketing Officer & Head of Developer Relations, Lisa D. Block, Director, Global Sales and Marketing of Hybrid Manufacturing Technologies, and Haley Cook, VP Operations of Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing. Through this panel, attendees will gain insight into career opportunities in the AM industry and how to prepare for them using strong skills like creativity, business acumen, leadership, and communication.
