Senior Human Resources Generalist

About the Role

As Senior HR Generalist, you'll own the full employee lifecycle for TBGA — recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and HR data — with the autonomy of a small firm and the resources of a well-established one. No two days look the same, and that's the point: you'll move fluidly between strategic projects (compensation benchmarking, ESOP administration, policy development) and hands-on execution (onboarding a new hire, answering a benefits question, running payroll data). This role reports into a collaborative team but rewards a genuine self-starter.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Conduct compensation benchmarking and develop salary range recommendations

  • Lead structured new hire onboarding and orientation

  • Maintain job descriptions in partnership with department managers

  • Administer E-Verify and I-9 compliance

Benefits Administration

  • Administer TBGA's ICHRA, 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan, and ESOP

  • Serve as the go-to resource for employee benefits questions and vendor coordination

  • Support open enrollment and annual plan reviews

  • Ensure ACA compliance and reporting

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Guide employees and managers through policy questions, performance concerns, and workplace matters

  • Maintain working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law (with ADP support); escalate as needed

  • Support employee investigations, disciplinary processes, and separations

  • Help maintain and annually review the employee handbook and HR policies

HR Operations & Systems

  • Maintain accurate employee records in Deltek Vantagepoint and ensure data integrity across HR/payroll systems

  • Process new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes

  • Generate HR reports and metrics for leadership

  • Support payroll processing alongside Finance

Culture & Employee Experience

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications

  • Help develop employee-facing materials and presentations

  • Support the rollout of new HR programs as TBGA scales

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 6–10+ years of progressive HR generalist experience

  • Working knowledge of multi-state employment law compliance

  • Experience with benefits administration, including self-insured or HRA-based health plans

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable handling sensitive matters with discretion

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities

  • U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship) required for this role

Nice to Haves

  • Experience supporting an ESOP or 401(k) plan

  • Familiarity with ICHRA or HRA benefit structures

  • Background in professional services, consulting, or government contracting (engineering services a plus)

  • Exposure to Deltek Vantagepoint or a similar professional services ERP

  • Experience with ADP Payroll Services
